Not long ago I figured that blogging is an effective way to promote websites, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, its well known that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the wordpress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.

Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, anyway those are other people’s asset and I have no control, not to mention I can’t just post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs,to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. Some blogs are quite interesting, look at this one, Ratchet Strap for Trucks, it’s name is pretty cute, the content on the site is not bad, though its not a theme focused blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. Here is another one, Pet Supplies, this is a themed blog, the content on the this site has a theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. I can show you a lot more sites, but I think you understand the basics now. One more important point, you should build some casual blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Thai Restaurant, doing this right you will have a natural blogging networks.

When you already have a few interesting blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. This is just an idea, to build a successful network will be much more complicated, follow the professional recommendations and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
