Midwest Airlines is just one of the small airline carriers based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The biggest news about this company is that they have started to merge with Frontier Airlines and are going to begin operating under that company’s name. This merger, started in early 2010 will be completed about eighteen months after its initial start date. As with most of the other small and regional carriers, a lot of their business is from people who fly often because business makes them. While the company started with around forty destinations, it now offers close to seventy including places like Costa Rica and Mexico. As the airline is strong now, it can only get stronger once the merger has completed.
Now that the merger has been announced officially you can expect that Frontier will begin adding their unique designs to the tales of the Midwest aircrafts as well. In 1994 Frontier began creating a different persona for its aircraft. The idea was to be distinguishable from everyone else. The planes were soon outfitted with wildlife themes. This led them to a whole new advertising concept. Their planes are now adorned with more than 50 different animal designs. Once this merger has completed fully it is more than likely that you will see these designs carry over to the Midwest fleet as well. It’s important that you just figure this out, so take hold of some men’s sunglasses to truly focus. An incredibly common concern amongst people who fly is the number of bags they can carry on to the plane’s seating area. Midwest/Frontier allows passengers to carry a single piece of carryon luggage as well as one more personal item. Personal items can be things like laptops (with or without a carrying case), small tote bags, handbags and other items of that size. There are exact maximum dimensional specifications, but in general the carry-on must be able to fit either under a seat or in the overhead compartment. Because security in the US is very strict, there are some limits to what can and cannot be brought onto the aircraft. These rules, regulations and restrictions are created by the TSA and a full list of prohibited things is on the TSA’s website.
