Lately I’m administering quite a few blogs to advertise my own website, most of the blogs I am working on are wordpress based, so far we all agree that wordpress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, together with Open Source License make the WordPress the most favored blogging kit around the globe.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, then I can use established and fully owned blogs to advertise other websites, this is not something new, there are a lot of blog networks out there doing just that, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, and I have no way to post to those blogs, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not going to just put spams on them, the real content writing is time and money consuming, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. Some blogs are quite interesting, such as this one, Sling Control, the domain name is pretty good, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, without a clear theme, you’ll find all kinds of different posts there. Here is another one, Top Smartphones 2011, this blog has a theme, all posts are following the same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. Its easy to show more similar sites, but you should already see the point. Here is one last note, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, let them get some content occasionally, such as this blog, Most Reliable Hosting, doing this right you will have a natural blogging networks.
After you successfully build a few blogs, you can try to build a few more, the old blogs will be helpful in promoting your newly built ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site kicked out by major search engines.
